Why we Love this wine ?
When most people think about Malbec, Argentina comes to mind and then France will get a mention…however Malbec has been growing across Italy (typically in the North) for a long time. A vast majority of the vines were uprooted in the 70s for what was then more north American friendly varietals such as merlot. This wine continues to impress us each vintage, offering fantastic drinkability, easy to pair with food and amazing complexity that is unexpected in most Malbec, and impressive at this price.

The Whole Story
(whats in your glass)
Hailing from Veneto, this Merlot ticks all the boxes! The rich alternating ruby red and purple hues are shimmer in the glass. A slightly herbaceous bouquet underlines the red fruit notes of cherry and plum that lead to a silky finish with soft and very balanced tannins. A wine with a great personality, medium to full bodied

Region
Veneto
Veneto is a substantial and increasingly important wine region in the northeastern corner of Italy. Administratively it forms part of the Triveneto zone, along with its smaller neighbors Trentino-Alto Adige and Friuli-Venezia Giulia. In terms of geography, culture and wine styles, it represents a transition between the alpine, Germano-Slavic end of Italy and the warmer, drier, more Roman lands to the south.
