The Whole Story
(whats in your glass)
A magnificent and extreme Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Riserva, with a unique ageing twice in new barrels, meaning a first passage for 8 months in new oak barrels followed by another passage in new barrels for another 8 months. The result is just amazing and quite far from what could be expected. Janu is a ruby red ink colour with violet reflections, intense with a nose of white chocolate, coffee, cherry, hints of tobacco and caramel, yet the fruit component always stays vivid. In mouth can be cut in slices, such a full creamy body, with thick tannins and an infinite taste persistence.
